Terms of Service

Rules for using the LumenPod website

These terms govern access to the LumenPod website — its product pages, legal documents, feedback channel, and the sign-in, checkout, code redemption, and order history behind the direct-download edition. The application itself is licensed under the separate End User License Agreement.

Service operator

This website is operated by Meini Yan, an individual developer trading as LumenPod. References to "LumenPod", "we", "us", or "our" refer to that operator. If a legal entity is later substituted as the operator, the substitute will assume these terms on the same conditions.

What this site is

lumenpod.app provides product information, the legal documents for the LumenPod application, a feedback and support channel, and — for the direct-download edition — account sign-in, checkout, code redemption, and order history.

These terms apply to your use of the website. Your use of the LumenPod application itself is governed separately by the End User License Agreement, and by the App Store Terms of Service for anything Apple handles.

Using the website

You may use the website, its marketing pages, account pages, feedback flows, and download entry points only for lawful purposes and in compliance with these terms.

You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide and for maintaining the security of any account you use with the service.

Two ways to buy

Direct download. A licence is purchased on this website through a third-party checkout provider and claimed in the application with an activation code. Pricing, taxes, and included entitlements depend on the offer you select at checkout or in the corresponding order confirmation, and you are responsible for reviewing those details before completing a purchase. An annual licence renews automatically until cancelled, and a cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for. A one-time licence is paid once and does not renew. When a renewing licence lapses, the paid features stop — creating vaults, protecting media, and batch protection — but your files and your existing vaults do not: they remain openable, viewable, exportable, and recoverable with your access password.

Mac App Store. LumenPod is a paid app bought once from Apple. No purchase is made on this website, and we never receive your payment details.

Downloads, redemption codes, and linked products

The website links to software downloads, billing pages, a code redemption page, and the App Store listing. No free trial is offered at present. Redemption codes are issued at our discretion in limited quantities: a code carries a fixed number of seats, may be redeemed once per account, may be withdrawn or exhausted at any time, and the access it grants may be revoked for abuse. Their availability, duration, and included features may change over time; a redeemed code currently grants one month.

Your use of the desktop software itself is governed by the applicable End User License Agreement. These website terms do not replace it.

Refund policy

Direct-download purchases. We offer a 14-day, no-questions-asked refund window from the time of purchase. To request a refund, email [email protected] from the account used to make the purchase and include the order code shown on your orders page. We aim to acknowledge refund requests within two business days and to issue the refund through the original checkout provider within seven business days of acknowledgement.

After the 14-day window, an active licence remains valid through the end of its billing period and is not eligible for a prorated refund. The desktop app continues to verify licence status against the server, so a refunded licence loses paid features after the standard offline grace window expires.

Mac App Store purchases. Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. Request one through Apple's "Report a Problem" flow or your purchase history in the App Store; we cannot issue a refund for an App Store purchase on Apple's behalf.

Neither policy limits rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law in your jurisdiction.

Feedback and support

You can reach us through the feedback form on this site, from inside the application, or at [email protected]. We aim to respond within a few business days.

Submissions are rate-limited to prevent abuse. Do not send confidential material, credentials, or vault passwords — we never need them and cannot use them.

Acceptable use

You may use this website only for lawful purposes. You may not interfere with its operation, attempt unauthorized access, probe or scan its infrastructure, reverse engineer protected areas, or use it to violate applicable law or third-party rights.

Intellectual property

The website, its branding, its content, and the LumenPod application remain the property of LumenPod or its licensors unless otherwise stated.

Disclaimers and liability

The website and related services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis to the extent permitted by law. Product information published here may change as the application evolves.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of this website.

Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer protection or other mandatory law, or liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or wilful misconduct.

Changes and termination

We may update these terms, suspend access, or discontinue parts of the website when reasonably necessary to operate, secure, or improve it. Material changes are reflected in the "Last updated" date above.
